This is Bacup Lancashire and first service in a barn -‘Heap Barn’ William Darney was an itinerant evangelist and founded a number of Methodist societies in that area of Lancashire and Yorkshire he retired to this part of the north
What is interesting to me is that all churches begin with mission and in often a humble way.
