Brunswick Wesleyan Chapel was on Rutland Street, Werneth. It was opened in either 1826 or 1849. (Genuki gives both dates)
At the time of the Methodist Buildings Statistical Returns in 1941, it is described as being constructed of stone and brick, seating 700 people on pews and having 2 school rooms and 16 other rooms.
The chapel closed in 1954
We have had an enquiry from a descendant of George Pollitt and Ann Harrison (who were married in the chapel in 1867 by Rev Thomas Albrighton), who would like to know if anyone has a photo of the building, or information about the location of any archives.
