This is a ‘Tin Tabernacle’ at Aughton near Ormskirk. The postmark on the back is 1907. The lady writing says ‘I am sending you this view of our chapel: the old lady in the doorway was the first to open the door. The other two are two of the stewards, it has only been built twelve months’.
I know only that it is listed in 1940 as being open then seating 80 it was on Bold Lane.

Only today I found an old map of Bold Lane showing the chapel. I was most surprised.
