A Wesleyan Methodist Chapel is recorded on the Genuki Web Pages at Stonedyke, Lecce Lane, Roose, Barrow In Furness. Its NGR is SD 22252 69286. Founded in 1877 the Chapel closed in 1991 though its congregation still continued to worship at nearby St Perrans Church. This too was recently demolished. My parents married there in 1954. I was christened there in 1955. We live in the USA now but when my dad was home a few years ago the church had been demolished.
Has it been demolished? I haven’t been past it for a while but I thought it was still there?
