As part of my research I noted a Wesleyan Methodist Chapel as part of the Genuki Web pages recorded at Abbey Road in Barrow-in-Furness. It was opened in 1902 at a cost of £9,000 and replaced a previous iron structure built in 1876 at possibly the same site. Its NGR is SD 20407 70230. Attached is a image copyright Aiden Jones 2004 but free to use. Second is a unknown copyright newspaper cutting showing the original Iron Chapel and proud worshipers from unknown year.
