West Bay Wesleyan Methodist Society was formed in 1828 and held services and meetings in a local dwelling house until West Bay Wesleyan Methodist chapel was opened on 4th December 1849; the builders were Messrs John Cox and Son.
The chapel closed in May 2007, and in 2018 the former “chapel on the beach” became The West Bay Discovery Centre. (West Bay Road, DT6 4EN)
