This chapel is now a holiday let.
Dorset History Centre has records at NM-2/C/1/TS/4/1 and NM-2/S/15/TS/5/2 which include ‘papers concerning the purchase and building of the new church, 1866-1867’ so I assume there was a previous building.
The datestone on the chapel is 1867.
Another batch is ‘Papers concerning the sale of the church. 1989′.
I have just spotted ‘ Certificate of registration of a house in the occupation of Mary Barton in Milborne Stileham as a Place of Worship’. 1823.
Milborne Stileham, once a separate settlement on the other side of the turnpike road (now the A354), was incorporated into Milborne St Andrew in 1890 according to https://www.milbornestandrew.org.uk/
