Morden Wesleyan Methodist chapel

The former Morden Wesleyan Methodist chapel is now Chapel Cottage (BH20 7DU). It is the first building past the junction going west from West Morden. The farm and hamlet is Whitefield and the woodland opposite is Chapel Wood.

When did the chapel open and close?

  • The chapel carries a datestone, but unfortunately the lamp was too close to the wall for Mark Churchill who supplied the picture to read the date. On 2009 Street VIew it might read as 1875
  •   Dorset Archives contain Trustees minutes from 1926 to 1980
