Langton Matravers

This was the fifth chapel in our tour of the Isle of Purbeck in Summer 2022. The chapel is in the High Street and is now called Wesley House. Earlier this year (2023) it was on the market for offers in excess of £1m; Swanage News says ‘The five bedroom home was last put on the market 30 years ago, shortly after a modern extension was added to the building ‘. It also says it was built in 1875 and has the date stone of an earlier chapel from 1842 built into a wall. A photo shows the notice board from the chapel as a feature in a room.
