Record NM3/S/14 at Dorset History Centre says ‘A church was built in 1866. This was replaced by a church on the site adjacent to the original one, in 1900’.
According to Geoffrey Goodman’s list, it closed in 2005.
I was surprised at the size of the chapel at the junction with Wessex Road. It is now used by an international language school teaching English to foreign students.
