Devanner Wesleyan Meeting Room, Powys

Ty-Faenor FarmHouse. Wesleyan Meeting Place
Ian M Wright, 2010

A site not visited by myself that only recently came to my attention is Devanner or Ty-Faenor or Dyfaenor depending on who you speak to near Abbey-Cwm-Hir, Powys and its NGR is SO 0714 7106 . A 17th Century built Manor House that has become a farm and has a room set aside called Chapel Room which has been a Wesleyan meeting place for a long time. Apparently once a year it is still used for a gathering and has always only been a Wesleyan meeting place from the inception of the Wesley word is how it was described. I am told the room is in almost untouched original condition, dated about 1658 and its carved oak furnishings quite remarkable.
