The first Greenfields Wesleyan Methodist chapel was a “tin tabernacle” and opened in 1890 .
It was replaced by the present chapel on Thursday 15th October 1908 following two years of fund-raising. It accommodated about 220 worshippers.
The building is still in use as Greenfields United church in 2020.
