Thanks to Neil Ritson for identifying the Wesleyan Methodist chapel at West Hall. Neil was exploring handwritten notes by his great great grandfather, Thomas Ritson, which you can read here. They included a reference to an illegible chapel. It turns out to be the Wesleyan chapel at West Hall.
West Hall is a small hamlet and the former chapel is at the end of a short track between houses.
The chapel appears on the 1864 Ordnance Survey map and is still marked with the same footprint in 1924. The 1940 inventory of Methodist buildings describes it as stone built and accommodating 120 people seated on pews. There were no other rooms.
In 2022 it is in residential use.
