Keenley is now the oldest Methodist Chapel in the world to have had continuous services since 1750. In April 2022 it was proposed by Rev. Alex Dunstan Keenley Methodist Chapel become a “Festival Chapel” with 4 services a year at Easter, Camp Meeting, Harvest Festival and Christmas. At other times it will be open for us as a space for community use. It is on Isaac’s Tea Trail a North Pennine walking trail with strong Methodist links and popular with walkers. A friends group is being formed to help ensure Keenley Chapel’s future.
