Tynemouth, Percy Street WM Chapel

Foundation stones for this chapel were laid on 16 May 1810 to a large gathering who were addressed by Rev Philips.
The church closed in 1870 being replaced by that on Front Street (demolished 1974). Alterations were carried out in 1882 to make the premises suitable for Sunday School work. The building was purchased in 1972 and after extensive alterations, is now the home of the Tynemouth Priory Theatre.
