An enquiry about a Primitive Methodist chapel at Killingworth led to the discovery of a Wesleyan chapel just down the road at Palmersville.
The 1895 and 1913 Ordnance Survey maps show the chapel at the western end of the Palmersville terrace, by the side of the old wagonway. The site is in residential use in 2023
Tyne and Wear Archives contain meeting minutes and a baptism register created between the dates 1874 – 1927.
