The current Church Gresley Methodist church on York Road is a new building, but it is on the same site as the former Wesleyan Methodist chapel. It is shown on the 1899 Ordnance Survey map, together with a separate Sunday school to the north west corner of the site. It is largely the same on the 1920 OS map, although the footprint is a little larger.
The Derbyshire Historic Environment Record notes that there were two Wesleyan Methodist chapels in Church Gresley, the other one being on the south side of Station Street. The 1921 Ordnance Survey map shows the chapel with a little smaller Sunday school directly behind it. On the 1900 map, only the Sunday School is shown, labelled as Wesleyan Methodist chapel. In 2022 there is modern housing on the site
