St Nicholas at Wade Wesleyan Methodist Chapel was built of brick in 1822. The reported seating capacity fluctuated between 200 in 1873 and 160 in 1891 and 1931 when all seats were free. In 1940 the chapel estate consisted of the chapel itself which seated 110 in pews and a school hall.
