Many fond memories of having a weeks holiday with our then Methodist Youth Club from Wellington, Shropshire in August 1962 & staying in the hostel adjoining the Chapel. If I remember correctly, the minister was Rev Austin Eddy & the hostel caretaker/warden was a Mr. Franklin.. We used to hold prayers in the Chapel every morning, & my lasting impression was of hearing that fabulous organ. Our Youth Club returned in 1964, but sadly, due to my training for our local Police Force, I was unable to return. I really enjoyed the photographs on this site, brought back many fond memories of the place which I still think fondly about, despite me getting on in years now. Thank you – Ian Martin.
