Montrose New Wynd Wesleyan Chapel was built in 1874. In 1940 it seated 270 in pews. There was a schoolroom and three other rooms. In 1973 the chapel seated 270 and the schoolroom 330. There were two classrooms. Since 2014 the chapel has closed and is now in residential use. The congregation now shares the United Free Church of Scotland building on the other side of the road
