The Rev. William Myles was an early historian of the Methodist Church, and four editions of his book A Chronological History of the People Called Methodists were published, the last in 1813.
As well as telling the history of the church, Myles also included lists of the preachers who had served, and the chapels that had been built. He sent out an annual questionnaire to his fellow ministers. The extract attached to this post lists all the chapels in 1812, being arranged by county and including the dates the various chapels were opened. The chapels in Ireland are included.

Hi, I have officially preached in Methodist Churches/Chapels of up to 750 seats, that last being at Trinity Methodist Church located at Chapel Street at Wath-upon-Dearne, Near Rotherham in south Yorkshire, where my father Wm W. Wilkinson was a member of the governing body, alongside my first employer at the Town Hall at Wath-upon-Dearne, W. Eric Haigh, then also the Engineer & Surveyor to to Wath-upon-Dearne Urban District Council of The Town Hall, Wath-upon-Dearne.
W. Eric Haigh was also the Leader of the M.A.Y.C. Youth Club based at Trinity Methodist Church at Wath-upon-Dearne, who arranged annual holidays for Youth Club members in many different parts of the UK. My first Youth Club holiday arose following my mother becoming seriously ill when I was aged 13 – a year before I could normally join the Youth Club. Mum had a duodenal ulcer which burst, and our G.P. who was also the Medical Officer of Health to the Wath-upon-Dearne U.D.C. as well as our G.P. arranged for Mum to be collected by ambulance and taken to the Mexbro’ Montague Hospital.
