The former Berkhamsted Wesleyan Methodist chapel in Cowper Road opened in 1923 and closed in 1956. It was then used by the Christian Science movement, still its occupants on Street View in 2016 . The school building behind it is now housing

Remember it very well. Used to go to Sunday School there (1940s). Then changed allegiance to the Primitive Methodist Chapel (opposite Kittsbury Road) where Jennie & I were married in 1959. In the 1950s there were strong Berkhamsted Methodist football & cricket teams.
