Whitchurch Wesleyan Chapel

Whitchurch Wesleyan Methodist Chapel and Manse. Built 1844, followed by the Manse in 1868. Photo from Thomas Durley's book "Wesleyan Methodism in Aylesbury and surrounding villages" Published 1910. ( a catchy title ! ) Arthur Adams 1981 :- " I worked on the chapel when all the face was took off. The lamp on the front, I helped to cut that down. There was a pulpit in the middle of the Wesleyan chapel with a window at each side. They was all bricked in. The bloke who did it was Arthur White, lodged at Grandmother's, come from Brill. Arthur White and his son. Then a big window was put up at the back. Well, Jack Ellis took the stones out when that was done. I helped him do that."
