Memorial Plaque to John Wild, Wesleyan Chapel, Armley, Leeds

Memorial in the Wesleyan Chapel, Wesley Road, Armley, Leeds (transcribed in 1981 by a relative) :

Erected by the society and congregation connected with this place of worship by loving friends to the memory of JOHN WILD of this town who died January 24th 1876, aged 57 years, of an honourable Methodist ancestry, being the third of that name who held almost every office to which layman could be appointed. He gave liberally of his substance and employed his rare gifts with unwavering assiduity and singular devotion in the promotion of the cause of God in this neighbourhood whereby “He being dead yet speaketh”.

I would love to find out more about him. We know there were 3 John Wilds.
