The great value of this edition to the family historian is that it relates to the first year when individuals are listed in the census. Care need to be taken, however, as the census was taken on 6th June which was when all ministers would be in their 1840 stations.
Note that there is a separate listing in this edition for ministers in Ireland. The Methodist Churches in Ireland and Great Britain are separate.
