The main part of this work lists ministers who were working in Great Britain or in parts of the world where the local Wesleyan Methodist Church was affiliated to the British Conference.
Irish ministers are listed separately as Ireland has a separate Conference.
There are also lists of ministers in France and Australasia, who had entered the ministry before those Wesleyan Methodist Conferences became independent. Ministers who entered the ministry in those countries after separation are not included.
The work concludes with a list of all ministers who had died in the work before 1st September 1873, and a list of Presidents of Conference
