The last service held at Central Methodist Church, Aldergate took place on 22nd May 2022, after which the church was closed for worship. Thus ended the Methodists presence in Tamworth Town Centre. The congregation combined with that of the existing St Andrews Methodist Church, Thackeray Drive in the Leyfields area of Tamworth.
