Rev Joseph Stringer: Methodist union in marriage, 1880

My Grandfather, Rev Eardley Blackburn Stringer (1887-1967] was a “regular” Methodist minister. His father, Rev Joseph Stringer (1851-1936) is marked in the minutes as a “W” Wesleyan. I knew he married a lady, Grace Newall of Presteigne, but I was greatly surprised when doing some research and visiting Presteigne to discover that the Newalls were a very prominent Primitive family. So union was formed even in 1880 (dom).
