Born in 1898 in 1898 in Benares, India, Theophilus Stephen Gregory was the third Wesleyan Methodist minister to bear those names. His ancestors included preachers back to the time of John Wesley and included Rev Benjamin Gregory who was President of the Wesleyan Conference in 1879.
