Leeds, Holbeck, Isle Lane Chapel

I work at the Old Chapel recording studios in Leeds which now occupies a former Wesleyan Chapel. I have put some web links below to document this chapel.

  • Leeds, Isle Lane Chapel, Holbeck (1815 to 1960s demolition)
This chapel appears to have opened in 1815 (it celebrated its 133rd anniversary in 1948), possibly on the site of an earlier chapel, with seating for 908 and continued in use until the late 1940s or 1950s, being used latterly as a warehouse and demolished between 1962 and 1971. It had no connection with the nearby Crosland Street or Prospect chapels.
