Whilst working through some family photographs I came across this one. It was labelled South Marston Methodist chapel. I remember visiting it in the 1960s, but I have no idea who the folk in the picture are.
The chapel first appears on Ordnance Survey maps between 1886 and 1900. It was located on Chapel Lane, but the site is not visible on Street View behind tall fences.

The chapel is now privately owned. After 40 years’ neglect it was restored during 2017-19 and now looks very much as it appears in this picture.
