Radstock Wesleyan Methodist chapel 1816

Before they opened the large chapel in Fortescue Road in 1902, Radstock Wesleyan Methodists met in a chapel in Coomb End, first built in 1816. It was extended in 1840 with the addition of a schoolroom.

Prior to that they met in the cottage of Nancy Webb in Coomb End.

When the new chapel in Fortescue Road opened in  1902, the Coomb End building became the Palace Cinema which in turn closed  in the 1960’s. In 2022 it is a carpet and bed warehouse.
