Sutton on Trent

The 1821 Chapel which is now a house
The building currently in use

Methodism seems to have begun in the village in the 1820s and the first Wesleyan chapel was built in 1821. The later building, (circa 1880), still in use, has a large community centre behind it which was built in 1960 and houses the local library and a Pre-school.
