Hester Street WM Chapel, gable end, 14.06.2019

Hester Street Wesleyan Methodist Chapel was built of brick in 1905. In 1940 it seated 125 persons on chairs and had a schoolroom and one other room and was still being used as a Methodist place of worship in 1959. It has not been possible to locate this building with certainty but the building illustrated is the best candidate. It is now occupied by the Miracle Church of God in Christ.

  • This chapel was still in use by the Methodists in the 1970s and probably closed in 1979 when the new Kingsthorpe building was opened.
