Wigtoft Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, Lincolnshire

According to a Spalding circuit plan there were two Wesleyan chapels in Wigtoft in 1819.

By 1850 there was one, this being replaced by the present building (no longer a place of worship) erected in 1862 on Asperton Road. It had seating for up to 110 and a separate schoolroom at the rear.

Circuit membership: Spalding Wesleyan; and Spalding Methodist post-union.

Although the year of closure has not been ascertained, it was no longer on the circuit plan by 1986. Advertised for sale (unconverted) in 1996 for an asking price of £14,000. It is now a private dwelling.

On the front elevation is the datestone: Wesleyan Chapel 1862.
