Leire Wesleyan Methodist Chapel (i), Leicestershire

Leire Wesleyan Methodist Chapel was built of brick in 1898. It was on the same site and occupied the same footprint as its predecessor. In 1940 there was no other accommodation besides the chapel which measured 34 feet by 18 feet and seated 100 persons in ground floor pews.

  • Datestone in the front of the brick chapel is 1863. There was an earlier chapel built in 1817.
