  • Hi, I was interested to find this chapel online as it was where my grandmother and grandfather were married in 1921. Whilst my grandfather Arthur Hemingway was a Huddersfield man, my grandmother born Ethel May Brown was from Brougham, and came from a farming family. She later became a professional nurse. prior to the NHS.

The family later moved to the Kingston on Thames area probably due to the recession. Ethel died in our home in Surbiton in the harsh winter of 1962/63.
