Salkeld Dykes Chapel was built in1832 at a cost of £120. It had with 55 free and 72 lettable sittings letting in 1873 A harmonium was purchased in 1885. In 1873 it had 127 sittings.It was in use as a Methodist place of worship when visited in April 2015.
