Headingley, Victoria Road WMC

My Dad and Grandparents

My Grandparents were caretakers of Victoria Road WMC for many years as you will read in an article that was in the Methodist Recorder. We found this along with various books and photos when my sister and I were sorting through boxes after our parents died. There are also various photos of inside the chapel of the harvest festival that my grandparents took. My sister and I visited the chapel a few years ago, we took photos of the outside but unfortunately we couldn’t go in as it was locked. We do intend to go back to go inside at a later date. There is a lovely photo of my dad taken in 1927 aged 8 dressed as Ace of hearts for a Sunday School anniversary.

Books my dad Bernard Watson received for good attendance at Sunday school
