Ulverston Steel Street WM Chapel was built in 1875.It was valued at £200 in 1877. In 1940 there were 100 sittings on forms in the chapel, and no other rooms. It had closed by 1980 and is now in residential use.

My great grandfather John Sumners was, according to his obituary, the superintendent of the Steele Street Sunday School for 19 years. He died in 1924, so the years would have been 1905-1924.
