Silver Rose Bowl presented to Henry Salisbury

On his retirement as Superintendent of the Harpenden Wesleyan Methodist Sunday School

The bowl  carries the following inscription;

                       Presented to

                   Mr Henry Salisbury

 by old Scholars & Friends as a mark of their high esteem on his retirement after 47 years as

      Superintendent of Harpenden 

        Wesleyan Sunday School

                  8th March 1911

It was returned to High Street Methodist Church, Harpenden, after Henry’s death.

A list of subscribers to the testimonial was published in An Illustrated Short History of Methodism in Harpenden by H.O.W.( Henry Owen Williams) in 1930.
