Rev Francis Moon

The Reverend Francis Moon was born in 1829 in Somerset, England. In 1854, he entered the ministry of the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Britain and was soon thereafter appointed to the Bahamas District. During his 35 years of ministry there, he served in every Circuit of the Methodist Church.  During the last five years of active service (1884 – 1889), he was Chairman and General Superintendent of of the Methodist Church in the islands. He “sank peacefully to rest” in Nassau October 4, 1902.
